Our Story

A journey that began with healing.

IROHA was born from a deeply personal moment—when a naturopath in Mullumbimby, Australia, introduced Japanese Indigo powder to Mayumi.
The experience was transformative. Uplifted by its effects, she felt a calling to share this ancient Japanese herb with the world.

Together, Mayumi and Yoko began building a bridge between Japan’s oldest herbal traditions and the modern health community in Australia and beyond.

The name IROHA carries deep meaning — drawn from Japan’s oldest poem, celebrating impermanence, gratitude, and the beauty of natural cycles.
Every IROHA creation reflects this philosophy: to live gracefully, heal gently, and honor nature in every breath.
